As a nurse, you will care for, educate and bring more quality to someone's particular lifestyle. Becoming a nurse and working for the National Health Service (NHS) or a private institute can bring rewards that no other job can, and that is satisfaction. Being safe in the knowledge that you are either achieving every day by naturally caring for a person, or you can make an even bigger different tomorrow with someone else's life.

You could choose to work with Children which would involve working with people aged 0-18 in a variety of different settings from specialist baby care units, right through to adolescent services. Babies, Children and Young Teenager's react to illness different to how an adult would, this is why they require professionally skilled nurses to ensure the young one can overcome the illness in the best possible way. Children's Nurses also educate and assist parents with and on their child's illness.
You could choose to work with Adults, which could involve working with the elderley, in nursing homes, hospitals or day care centres. Once qualified, you can then work to achieve additional qualifications in specific area's such as Breast Cancer, Accident and Emergency, Critical Care, School Nursing or Practice Nursing.
Mid-Wifery is even an option, once qualified as a nurse you could branch off to work in your very own community, creating relationships with women who admire your assistance.
Becoming a Nurse in the UK provides good qualification, gains a more valuable insight into illness and can be very rewarding, especially in terms of communication, caring and build upon your natural instinct to care for people, in any shape or form.
NHS - Nursing Tip You must be 17 and a half years or older to start any course. You must complete a health and safety course, in addition to a health questionairre set out from the start. You must always disclose any convictions, whether current or previous from any given time. And finally, you must have the right attitude towards caring for the community.
