Ever fancied yourself a sport body? Want to referee the next England match? Fancy teaching your knowledge of Cricket?
There are literally hundreds of thousands of job opportunities to get stuck into in any field of sport, whether it be Football, Cricket, Boxing, Snooker or Basketball.
Sport in the UK is on the increase, as more people stand to rights to keep fit in the modern age, people who necessarily wouldn't have kicked a football 20 years ago, will certainly join a team if given that chance today.
Sometimes the route to gaining a sports related job isn't easy, with the most guided route to teaching sport is along the lines of becoming a Physical Education Teacher, whilst this is not the case, the paths and routes down the line to becoming the next top professional player in such a competitive field is never clear either.
With reference to so much money involved with Sports today
particularly funded by advertisement and sponsorship, there is a long journey to
the top which every athlete must undertake. Whilst most athletes can spend a 10
year career doing what they love, sadly due to increasing pressures and what our
body can handle, statistics cite, that only 8% of sports careers last that long.

To challenge your ability and gain more knowledge on your chosen sport, it would be wise to attend college, particularly a sports college to enable you to kick start a potential career. It would be then in your favour to maybe obtain a degree in that particular field of sports at University.
Many Universities nationwide now have courses specifically designed around a chosen sport, including Golf, Football and many others.
Even though College and University can give you a massive head start, a lot of people are still taken in by Talent 'Scouts'. Individuals are usually selected not at random, but random as being in the right place at the right time. A lot of Football Associations and teams, tend to use Talent Scouts to spot out the potential in a certain individual which ultimately leads to an instant sign up. Even though this is rare, if you are keen on a particular sport, you should always keep the spirit of improving, not just for professional reasons, but for the health benefits too.
Job Tip: To be the best in any given profession, mostly a Sport, is to have respect for that given profession and learn from the others who are involved.
