Information Technology in the year 2000, is a big sector to work in. With so many possibilities. Without trying to delude the course of your application, experience has shown some people grabbing a job as Customer Support in an IT company, and within 3 years they have moved the computer Networking Department and are now in a management position, on probably just as much money as what any other huge corporate company could have offered in the market.
Interview Tip As you may well know, we all need to impress in a interview, but with IT Interviews you should be extra careful to how you come across. A Lot of people who I interviewed for a technical/customer support assistant at a local firm I worked at, he was over confident throughout, which isn't a bad thing, but at the end when he asked me about salary and I explained what it was, he verbally stated "pff, I had better than that at my last job", to which broke the interview in two straight away at that point. Its true there IS a lot of money to be earned in the IT Market, but as with every other job, you have to earn it!
